How we research

Every fact sheet on this site is written to the same rules. Here they are.

What a fact sheet records

For every tool: what the free plan includes, in the vendor’s own terms; every paid option, with its price and billing period; the refund terms; and a numbered list of the pages each fact came from, with the date each one was accessed. The tool directory then puts every price on one monthly scale so they can be compared.

Where the facts come from

Prices, free allowances and refund terms are copied from each tool’s own pricing, plan, help-centre and policy pages, not from marketing summaries or other review sites. Where a fact sheet also cites an independent source, its sources list shows it and the sheet says so.

A claim that can’t be traced to a specific source is cut rather than softened. That rule applies to every number, every description of how a plan works, and every statement about what a tool does.

What we leave out

  • Star ratings, review counts, testimonials and statistics we can’t trace to a source. We don’t publish any.
  • Guesses about anything a vendor doesn’t publish. If a refund policy or trial terms aren’t stated, the sheet says “Not stated” rather than assuming what’s typical.
  • Comparisons inside a fact sheet. A tool’s sheet covers that tool. Head-to-head comparisons are published as blog posts, where every tool named is researched to the same standard.

Dates

Every fact sheet shows when it was last verified, and every source shows when it was accessed. Pricing changes, so the date tells you how fresh a figure is. Before you pay for anything, check the vendor’s own pricing page.

Guides

Our guides are practical advice on resumes and applicant tracking systems. Where a guide states a specific fact or statistic rather than general professional practice, it’s sourced the same way as a fact sheet.

Some links are affiliate links, and each tool’s page says plainly whether its link is one. This doesn’t influence which facts we publish about a tool. Details are in our privacy policy.
